Legal Secretary - Litigation The candidate should be an experienced legal secretary with litigation experience and strong transcription skills. A successful candidate will be collaborative and a self-starter, have at least 5 years' experience in litigation, excellent drafting and proof-reading skills, proficient with Microsoft Office programs, strong organizational and communication skills, strict attention to detail, have knowledge of federal, state and appellate court rules and filing procedures, including e-filing in both federal, state and appellate courts and experience with OJIN and Pacer. Will be providing legal and administrative support to attorneys. Preparing, transcribing and formatting client letters, legal documents, and general legal correspondence. Scheduling and organizing activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and depositions for attorneys. Calendaring hearings and docketing deadlines. Maintaining and updating attorneys case files. Preparing reimbursement expense reports. Maintaining personal correspondence, reading files, billing letters, expense reports, time entry files. Performing any other duties that may be assigned regarding this position and general secretarial work, including occasional back-up reception coverage. Working with the following software: Office 365 especially Word: proficient with Styles, Table of Authorities and Table of Contents; Acrobat; Excel (light); ProLaw.
