Litigation Paralegal The candidate will summarize and index documents including medical chronologies and billing summaries. Develop and implement databases to manage, sort, index, analyze and summarize large volumes of data. Assist attorneys in trial preparation. Prepare documents for discovery, including depositions and document productions. Prepare filings and exhibits for motions. Perform legal research. Prepare court filings, draft and issue subpoenas. Scan, code, upload, store, and print documents. Should have a Paralegal certification from a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association. Must have 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in California. A strong understanding of the California Code of Civil Procedure is required. Thorough knowledge of legal terminology, key discovery statutes, principles, and procedures are needed. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; iManage; Summation; Concordance; and Trial Director is also needed.
