Paralegal - Insurance Defense/Litigation The candidate will include managing cases with responsibilities ranging from drafting correspondence and pleadings; interacting with clients, attorneys, experts and court personnel; obtaining and managing case discovery, to include a working knowledge of the subpoena process; performing background investigations; reviewing case documents and preparing summary of key facts to include preparation of medical and billing summaries; reviewing and managing large electronic discovery productions; preparing key document summaries; assisting attorneys with trial, mediation, and arbitration preparation; and other various tasks as assigned by the attorneys. Must have at least three (3) years of paralegal experience in insurance defense and/or civil litigation with demonstrated understanding of personal injury and premises liability matters with experience in employment law, construction defect, or independent contractor gig services claims a plus. In order to succeed in this position, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be extremely well organized, and have the ability to learn quickly and prioritize tasks within a busy law firm setting. Successful candidates will also be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and enjoy working within a strong team environment. In-depth working knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro and general computer tech savvy skills are necessary; experience with discovery database programs is preferred; and familiarity with Clio is a plus.
