Immigration Legal Assistant or Paralegal The candidate will requires dedication and an ability to work under deadlines on a broad range of petitions, including but not limited to: family petitions, humanitarian protection (Asylum, VAWA,U visas, etc.), employment-based visas, and Court proceedings. Must have 3-5 years of experience as a remote legal assistant or law clerk specializing in immigration law. US work authorization is required. High school or equivalent is preferred. Must be a professional team player with strong drafting, proofreading, communication and organizational skills. Must desire long-term employment with the firm and provide exceptional customer service and be able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort. Must be proficient in MS Office (word, excel, etc.); Fluent in English and Spanish (speak, write, and read-this will be tested); Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; able to work efficiently and effectively with the senior legal assistant and attorneys by following instructions; able to constantly analyze strategies for cases and perform research to determine best options for cases; able to prioritize work while remaining focused on deadlines; able to work with distractions; able to work independently on multiple projects and matters with minor supervision; able to present work product at a fast pace and provide updates for cases; able to write concisely but eloquently; highly detail-oriented; maintain a professional demeanor; and be willing to attend.
