Patent Prosecution Paralegal RESPONSIBILITIES: Domestic and international patent research, prosecution and maintenance. Interact with foreign counsel, in-house counsel and other client contacts. Prepare and assist in the preparation of all relevant written communications and IP documents. Provide support to attorneys for Non-Disclosure and other agreements; Assist in developing or updating agreement templates. Manage patent estates including requesting and distributing reports in advance of review meetings, assemble related records. Assist in updating docketing system where necessary. Assist the supervising attorneys to ensure that all docket dates and all related patent deadlines are met. Prepare filing instructions to foreign associates for filing of foreign patent applications, name changes, Assignments, payment of renewal fees, and annuities. File PCT applications and their national phase components. Prepare Replies to Invitations to Correct, Requests for Recordal of a Change, Information Disclosure Statements, Powers of Attorney and Assignments. Legalization of documents. Patent litigation: support patent litigation group regarding business-relevant hold orders when patent litigation commences. Timely filing of all correspondence in the document management system. Additional projects and tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certificate is required. 3+ years of relevant experience. Strong communication skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel) required.
