Senior Patent Paralegal The candidate will contribute to the efficiency of our business by providing personalized and timely support to the Firm's partners. Responsibilities: Prepare patent filings (e.g., transmittals, Figures, spec., etc.; Prepare trademark filings; File patent applications via EFS-Web; File corporate compliance statements; File corporate formation documents; File corporate annual fees; Report out status to clients; Report out incoming patent correspondence to clients; Prepare client engagement letters; Conduct client conflict checks; Prepare and send client invoices; Handle client retainers; Coordinate with Partners/Attorneys regarding docket deadlines; Organize and maintain electronic files (we are mostly paperless). Must have verbal/written skills when corresponding with clients on behalf of the Firm; Outstanding organizational and time management skills; Familiarity with office gadgets and applications (e.g. e-calendars and copy machines); Discretion and confidentiality on behalf of our clients and sensitive legal matters handled by the Firm; Courage to admit mistakes (which will always occur), ability to discuss solutions with the Attorneys, and implement corrective actions; High School degree for individuals who are driven, organized, and learn fast. BA/BS or IP Certificate is a huge plus. Bachelor's (Preferred); Paralegal Certificate (Preferred).
