Legal Secretary Pre-Litigation The candidate will follow practices and processes that comply with appropriate laws and regulations, meet the company standards, and serve the needs of our clients. This includes a commitment to a process of continuous improvement. Comply with company policies and procedures, including, the company's attendance policy. Perform general secretary duties (dictation, correspondence, handling of mail). Prepare guardianship paperwork, scheduling court hearings for minor's files. Proofreading and make grammatical and spelling corrections on legal forms. Schedule client calls. Prepare correspondence in support of the work of Legal Assistants (loss of consortium and other form letters). Back up clerical support for assistants (mail, copying, faxes). Perform other duties within the employee's training and skills as directed by Core Leader. Should have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must display a true passion for client and community service. Have 2 years of experience in legal office work. Must have demonstrated the ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally, and in written form with clients. Have the ability to work independently without regular direct supervision.
