Legal Secretary The candidate will primarily responsible for scheduling appointments, typing attorney pleadings and correspondence, scheduling court appearances, checking service of complaint, and must have the ability to juggle priorities. Proofreading and make grammatical and spelling corrections on legal forms. Schedule client calls. Prepare correspondence in support of the work of Legal Assistants (loss of consortium and other form letters). Back up clerical support for assistants (mail, copying, faxes). Perform other duties within the employee's training and skills as directed by Core Leader. The candidate should have High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have 1 year of previous Legal Secretary experience in a law firm or comparable industry experience. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate professionally, verbally and in written form with clients is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Working knowledge of computers, electronic data processing and proficient in Microsoft applications including Word and Excel along with willingness to learn applicable Software as needed. Ability to type minimum of 50 wpm with at least 92% accuracy along with keen listening skills required to comprehend voice dictation files.
