Attorney Recruiting Manager Duties : Will oversee the summer and entry-level legal recruiting program working with the firm s Entry-level Recruiting Committee Chairperson and committee members, office leadership, practice group chairs. Develop summer program, including budget, social and training calendar, assignment process and assigning mentors. Collect and maintain work product and evaluations. Team with entry-level hiring committee and office management to ensure success of each summer associate, and prepare materials for end of summer offer meeting. Work with BBS Events staff to plan and execute firm-sponsored social events. Participate in law school campus events and law student job fairs to increase and improve visibility at targeted law schools. With the Director of Attorney Recruiting, develop and foster key contacts with law schools. Work closely with the Entry-level Recruiting Committee, practice group chairs, office management, managing directors and other administrative departments regarding the extension of offers, follow-up, and office set-up and orientation and integration upon arrival for the summer program. Organize local information for firm-wide legal recruiting projects (i.e., online summer associate directory, annual NALP forms, firm wide summer event, AmLaw and Vault surveys). Track and assist with analysis of results of Summer Associate class outcomes to create meaningful data for a better understanding of future success factors. With the Director of Attorney Recruiting, conduct exit meetings for departing summer associates. Actively and creatively source lateral associate candidates through job postings, LinkedIn, networking, third-party recruiters and use of career service offices and referrals. Manage all aspects of the entry-level and lateral associate recruitment process including resume submission processing, candidate tracking, scheduling interviews, aggregating feedback, providing office tours, coordinating candidate reimbursements for travel and expenses, initiating conflicts reviews, coordinating candidate relocation, and providing ongoing candidate management. Monitor market trends to keep Firm management apprised of trends in salary, bonus and other benefits related to associates and summer associates. Requirements : The candidate should have Bachelor's degree. Preferably should have be a JD. Should have 3-4 years of experience in legal recruitment or in law school career services. Should have prior legal recruiting experience with the ability to manage sourcing and hiring law students and lateral associates. Preferably should have experience with on-campus recruiting, callbacks, and summer associate programs. Should have thorough knowledge of NALP s principles and standards. Should have maturity and seasoning that engenders respect and trust from others. Good judgment, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style. Should have ability to work in a professional and collegial manner with applicants, attorneys, administrative staff and outside vendors and contacts.
