Legal Assistant/Litigation Paralegal - Bilingual The candidate will prepare and forward summonses and subpoenas; Coordinate the collection, review and production of documents; Draft correspondence, complaints, discovery requests, responses to opposing counsel, and other legal documents; Knowledge of electronic court filing systems; Assist with the preparation, filing and service of pleadings; Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system; Schedule appointments, monitor and maintain a detailed calendaring system of court and meeting deadlines; Assist with trial preparation including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders, appendices for depositions, court filings, and other tasks as needed. Should have 3+ years of work experience in commercial litigation including knowledge of Plaintiff and insurance defense coverage; 2 year degree or paralegal certification preferred; Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel; Ability to type 60 to 70+ words per minute; Detail-oriented and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills; Strong work ethic, Multitask effectively; Relevant legal research.
