Litigation Legal Secretary Duties: Calendar, docket, send out correspondence, take in paperwork, manage and reconcile payments, assist with filings, and perform all other duties assigned. Report to assigned attorneys and the department head. Manages files, opens new matters as requested by attorneys. Ensures that all documents have been proofread, edited and revised as necessary. Manage calendars and travel schedules. Accurately record billable and unbillable (client and administrative) time. Anticipates the needs of attorneys and keeps attorneys organized. Develops and maintains smooth working relationships with staff, attorneys and clients. Responds to phone calls and emails in a professional manner.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of Commercial Litigation experience. Excellent proofing and editing skills. Must be familiar with Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure. Experience with e-filing, including Turbo Court. Excel, Word and Outlook proficiency. Will be able to handle day-to-day work challenges of juggling the work of attorneys in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to function independently and in a team environment. Strong attention to detail is also required, particularly regarding spelling and grammar.
