Civil Litigation Attorney Responsibilities: Perform legal assignments that are varied and require extensive research and analysis of applicable precedents. Manage cases by planning and initiating effective investigations and discoveries and evaluating the potential exposure for settlement, arbitration and trial in terms of liability and damages. Communicate with carrier, insured and opposing counsel. Prepare motions, oppositions and replies to motions; court appearance at law and motion. Principally involves defense of construction defect matters. Qualifications: Requires a JD Degree from an ABA accredited Law School. Admission to the Texas State Bar and be in good standing. Must have 3+ years of civil litigation experience. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and efficiently manage their case load in a fast-paced environment. Excellent advocacy and writing skills are a necessary. should be receptive to partner direction, but capable of managing a case without significant oversight.Strong litigation skills are a must.
