Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: Summarizing cases and briefing the attorneys. Reviewing case documents. Conducting research, investigating facts, and developing legal arguments. Drafting legal documents such as contracts, depositions, and pleadings. Preparing and filing documents with the courts. Enter key dates in the docketing system. Organizing and archiving the documents related to completed and ongoing cases. Keeping track of changes in the legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes. Recording billable and non-billable time. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. Within the 5 years, 3 years of litigation paralegal experience in the field of personal injury litigation; in federal district courts, a plus. Past experience working for a small-to-midsized law firm is ideal. Past experience must include legal writing namely, with respect to litigation filings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and able to provide excellent client service. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and E-Filing. Must be detail-oriented, capable to multi-tasking, and possess the knowledge and skills necessary to prioritize the workload independently. Proficiency in calendar maintenance, i.e., tracking a large volume of contemporaneous deadlines. The ability and willingness to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities white remaining focused.
