Litigation Paralegal, Personal Injury Responsibilities: Managing multiple client case files. Opening client files and initiating claims. Calendaring deadlines, and scheduling various appointments. Tracking medical treatment and insurance policy coverage. Ordering medical records. Preparing demand packages. Drafting and filing complaints and pleadings. Answering discovery and communicating with courts and opposing parties. Scheduling events, including depositions and mediation. Legal research and keeping clients informed of case progress. Preparing for trial and assisting at trial. Preparing settlement documents. Qualifications: Experience in preparing for and assisting at trial. Experience in eFiling, eDiscovery and trial software. Working cases up from initial call through litigation to settlement and judgment. Excellent communication skills. Time management and organizational skills. Excellent computer and telephone skills. Technical and detail-oriented. Knowledge of personal injury/civil litigation deadlines and procedures. The ability to handle a moderate case load and perform multiple tasks with minimal instruction and supervision.
