Patent Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible for assisting legal personnel in the performance of complex and specialized duties relating to all aspects of the patent prosecution process. Assist with preparation, review and filing of USPTO communications including new applications, Office Action responses, and Information Disclosure Statements. Review and process formalities including Filing Receipts, Notices of Missing Part, and Notices of Publications. Review daily docket and deadlines. Report filings to clients. Keep up to date on USPTO, PCT, and Foreign rules and practice. Correspond with clients and manage client requests, ensuring all deadlines are addressed. Manage attorney calendars using Outlook and complex meeting planning. Coordinate travel arrangements. Read and route mail. Answer and direct phone calls as needed. Compile data and research as requested. The candidate must have High School Diploma. Should have 5+ years of experience in patent prosecution support; proficient in USPTO EFS-Web and PAIR. Must have knowledge of IP support systems including CPi docketing system (or equivalent docketing system). Should have exceptional written and oral communication skills. Must have excellent clerical skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation. Should have exceptional customer service skills in person, over the phone and via email. Must have exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently and proactively. Should be computer proficient, intermediate or advanced experience using Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to perform all essential duties.
