Paralegal - Finance Responsibilities: Prepare various documents/instruments: UCC forms/attachments, closing lists, corporate charters, LLC/partnership formation documents, corporate resolutions, officer certificates, etc.. Participate in finance closings: create/update closing list, distribute documents/signature pages, and draft closing certificates. Control of closing documents during closing. Post-closing assembly/distribution of closing documents and closing volumes. Order/review/chart lien searches, order business entity documents from public offices (certified charter, good standing, etc.). File UCC and corporate/partnership organizational and other documents with state offices. Participate in and help manage due diligence projects. Coordinate/oversee the work of the closing clerk, especially in the post-closing process. Such other duties as may be required from time to time. Qualifications: BA degree required, Paralegal certification from ABA-approved paralegal program a plus. 2 A A 8 years of experience preferred. Solid computer skills, knowledge of and experience using MS Word, Outlook Calendar and Excel required. Knowledge of CTAdvantage.com, Inkspot or other similar vendor websites and systems for the preparation of UCC & other forms and public record sharing also preferred. Must be detail-oriented, able to work under deadline pressure. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to apply practice area concepts to appropriate tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to prioritize and organize work. Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
