Legal Secretary Corporate, Transactional and Litigation Practices Duties: Assist in the preparation of legal documents and correspondence. All phases of forming companies including qualification in other states (where required) and assumed names. Application for taxpayer identification numbers. Preparation of initial minutes, data sheet, stockholder and member ledgers with certificates. Preparation of stock/membership assignments, transfer stockholder and/or joinder agreements. Ability to work and manipulate PDF files and provide general support in the litigation arena. Manage calendars and mail for assigned attorneys. The candidate must have a high school diploma, 5+ years of corporate, transactional and litigation experience, familiarity with both state and federal court filings, proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs, strong proofreading skills, detail oriented with great spelling and grammar skills, a positive attitude, good client service skills, and excellent computer, organizational and time management skills. Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology, e-filing with state and federal courts. Flexible team player who enjoys fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and numerous tasks. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Impeccable attention to detail.
