Legal Secretary Duties: Provide litigation and administrative support to as many as lawyers. Responsible for litigation and administrative tasks including, but not limited to, court filings (state and federal), including e-filings, document creation, editing and preparation, filing, time entry, expense reimbursement processing, telephone calls, travel arrangements, calendar maintenance and mailing distributions. Maintain lawyers contacts lists in Outlook. Client contact in person and over the phone. Qualifications: College degree is a plus. 5+ years of recent litigation secretarial experience in a mid- to large-size law firm. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, work independently and multi-task. Ability to work in a high-volume environment. Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills. Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Outlook; must exhibit strong typing skills and ability to learn and quickly become proficient in new computer software programs. Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to prioritize and handle ever-changing priorities. Ability to work with minimal supervision, be a team player and be committed to providing a high level of client service. Flexibility for overtime and shift changes. Very strong litigation skills are a must.
