Legal Secretary / Legal Administrative Assistant (Bankruptcy) Duties: Play an essential role in enhancing the effectiveness of the attorneys in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Practice group by performing a variety of tasks and duties such as drafting and formatting letters, briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents; managing calendars for meetings; making arrangements for depositions; assisting with discovery including document management systems and service of discovery materials; making travel arrangements; and maintaining client files.
Qualifications: Two-year degree or equivalent work experience. 2+ years' working experience as a legal assistant. 1+ year experience processing State and Federal electronic court filings. Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs such as Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Proficient in State and Federal electronic court filings. Working knowledge of Adobe. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision. Ability to keep and maintain confidential information regarding clients and firm issues. Ability to quickly grasp firm-specific software. Ability to be adaptable to various office situations.
