Junior - Midlevel Paralegal - Asset Management & Investment Funds The candidate will assist in new fund formations and winding down of funds, including drafting entity formation and dissolution documents and preparing state registrations and qualifications as needed. Will assist with filing, proofreading, and drafting documents and information related to investment funds. Track investor information for fund clients via spreadsheets and databases, and maintain client filing schedules. Assist with the electronic filing of documents with the SEC, IRS, EFD, and other government regulatory agencies. Perform state securities, corporate, and other related legal research. Perform public searches, including federal and secretary of state records. Retrieval of certified copies of corporate documents, certificates of good standing and legal existence, and related documents from state officials. Draft and process legal response letters in connection with audit requests in compliance with established firm processes. Effectively utilize firm and practice-specific technologies. The candidate should have Bachelor's degree. Must have the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel. Must be a proactive self-starter. The ability to embrace new processes and incorporate new technology to meet client demands is required. The ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed tasks is needed. Must pay attention to details and have the ability to follow up and follow through on projects. Should have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
