This role will report to the Director of Paralegal and Legal Support Services and will be responsible for the management and oversight of corporate paralegals, case assistants and legal support employees. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience as a supervisor to professional services staff in a law firm, professional services or corporate environment. The Paralegal Manager will be responsible for: * Planning and coordinating the delegation and tracking of work assignments * Monitoring overall utilization of corporate paralegals and case assistants * Reviewing, developing and administering training and development curriculum * Updating and maintaining corporate paralegal program documents, training materials and other resources * Generating, analyzing, and summarizing various management reports * Developing and cultivating positive working relationships with Corporate Department Chairs and Paralegal Coordinators * Supervising staff and exercising authority to hire/terminate or particular weight is given to the recommendation/suggestion of hire, termination, advancement, promotion or other status change * Performing additional duties as directed The Paralegal Manager must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with personnel at all levels of the firm in order to handle sensitive, urgent and confidential information appropriately and professionally. They must have corporate paralegal experience and be skilled with PC software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other firm provided software. Knowledge of budgeting processes is also required.
