Legal Secretary The candidate will be drafting and responding to written discovery, drafting pleadings, preparing court forms and filings, writing correspondence, answering telephones and scheduling attorney's calendar. Should have 3+ years of strong litigation secretarial experience. Experience in calendaring (attorney calendar, appearances, deadlines, etc.) is needed. Exceptional litigation skills with strong knowledge of State Court rules is advantageous. Excellent working knowledge of legal document is advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to communicate effectively with client is essential. Excellent organizational skill is advantageous. Experience with e-Filing is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) is needed. Must have good communication and organizational skills. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Should be familiar with the Code of Civil Procedure, Rules of Court, statutes, deadlines, local court rules, and in particular the rules and procedures for the Personal Injury Courts in the County of Los Angeles and surrounding areas.
