Bankruptcy Paralegal The candidate will be attend to finalizing and filing pleadings in chapter 11 cases in the Delaware Bankruptcy Court and bankruptcy courts in other districts, and ensuring those documents comply with local bankruptcy rules and customs; prepare and organize hearing binders, exhibits, and proposed orders; draft fee applications, certifications of counsel, certificates of service, notices, pro hac vice motions, and hearing agendas; communicate with the court regarding various matters; attend to docketing and management of case calendars; prepare drafts of other legal documents and correspondence for attorney review; and communicate with attorneys, clients, and other bankruptcy professionals on various bankruptcy matters. Must be detail oriented, has superior communication, organizational, computer and client service skills and is able to multi-task. Must have advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet searching as well as FileSite or another document management system. Must also work well under pressure. 3-5 years of law firm experience in chapter 11 bankruptcy work required. Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred. Must have knowledge of Delaware / Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure and associated filing requirements to assist with the formatting and filing of electronic and paper court submissions. BlueBook/cite-checking experience preferred.
