Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will provide paralegal support and assistance to attorneys in the area of Trademark law in the coordination, management, and supervision of domestic and international trademark filing and prosecution. Will assist trademark counsel in all aspects of prosecution and maintenance of a large domestic and international trademark portfolio including: recordation of office actions, draft office of office actions, assignments and renewals. Prepare, review and oversee trademark applications, extension requests, statements of use, assignment and maintenance and renewal filings with USPTO. Assist with trademark analysis including the ability to review, investigate results and summarize trademark full searches. Monitor, investigate and assist in prosecution of infringing uses of trademarks and other intellectual property. Perform due diligence ownership searches on trademarks, copyrights, add domain names to assist corporate department with mergers and acquisitions, security agreements, etc. Gather and prepare evidence in support of application, opposition and cancellation proceedings. Maintain trademark docketing system and generate reports as needed. Perform routine legal research; compile data from various sources. Perform special projects and other related duties as requested. Perform file organization and maintenance. The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree. Should have 5+ years or equivalent experience of trademark prosecution. Extensive written and verbal communication with clients and foreign trademark counsel and agents essential. Knowledge of Anaqua or other trademark database required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
