Director of Tax, Attorney Compensation, & Treasury. Accounting & Finance Duties: Partner with Firm leadership and tax attorneys on internal tax compliance, partner tax returns and filings, and tax implications for changes to Firm strategies. Establish, implement, and oversee global treasury policies and practices, including managing relationships with bank contacts and assessing effectiveness of banking operations, investment, and financing services. Create policies, procedures, and internal controls related to the Firms international affiliation tax matters. Oversee the completion of federal and state income tax returns including preparing related analysis and support. Manage the departmental performance of the Tax and Attorney Compensation team members, including recruiting, mentorship and development, and providing ongoing formal and informal performance feedback. Advise Firm business stakeholders, including accounting and payroll, on internal tax policies and matters, providing guidance on best practice and organizational requirements and responsibilities. Manage relationships with third party tax counsel for federal and state tax audits and filings. Collaborate with internal teams, including HR, IT, Administration, and Tax practice lawyers on cross-functional tax, attorney compensation, and payroll matters. Requirements: Bachelors degree in a related field. 10+ years of related work experience. Advanced knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and employer responsibilities. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong team management and motivational skills. Ability to design broad tax strategies and initiatives and manage multi-stakeholder projects through completion. Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities. Ability to handle and maintain confidential information. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
