Bankruptcy Paralegal / Legal Assistant, Part-time Duties: Assist in preparing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcies for attorney review. Pre-filing: Intake with clients. Completing Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 petitions and drafting and responding to motions in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases. Collecting documents from clients. Communicating with clients. Creating Excel spreadsheet with paystub/bank information with Pivot Tables. Forensic research of bank statements. Post filing: uploading documents to Trustees. Keep track of developments and calendar hearings and deadlines. Requirements: Associate's Degree. 3+ years' experience preparing bankruptcies Chapter 7 and/or 13. Proficient in BestCase. Excel proficient with pivot tables. Email/internet proficient. Excellent computer skills. Personable and available to communicate with clients via email and sometimes phone. High attention to detail. Reliable and able to multi-task. Candidate must be very organized and work independently. Available to work during business hours. Knowledge of Clio software a plus. Chapter 11 experience is a plus. Must be knowledgeable with applicable bankruptcy court filing requirements. Schedule: 10-19 Hours per week
