Trust and Estates Paralegal I Qualifications: Provide legal and administrative support to advisors and attorneys. Perform clerical tasks as needed, e.g. make copies, proofread, scan documents to PDF and save to DMS, create folder labels, assemble materials for binders, prepare packages, write cover memos. Monitor deadlines of key dates and work with Calendar Court Services to provide email reminders of upcoming deadlines. Preparation of flowcharts and summaries of estate plans. Preparation of valuations of assets Preparation of Insurance transfer and claim forms. Preparation of beneficiary designation, transfer and claim forms. Preparation of health care proxies and powers of attorney. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree is required. A paralegal certificate is preferred. 2+ years of experience related to trusts and Estates. Excellent communication skills are necessary with the ability to interact professionally with staff, attorneys, paralegals, clients, and vendors. Strong technical skills are required, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and a form of Document Management System. Must be able to work independently as well as with a team, have an acute attention to detail and be able to multi-task and prioritize while working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
