Paralegal The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in a plaintiff's personal injury firm that handled medical malpractice cases, as well as all other types of personal injury cases. This job is for an independent person who is capable of handling the file on your own, including all typing, organization, handling deposition scheduling, case management information, motions and docketing. The duties would also include securing all medical records for the injured person and organizing them for medical expert review, contacting potential expert witnesses to discuss cases and their reviews, preparing witness lists, answering discovery, organizing damages on all levels for use at trial, an ability to communicate with clients, and ACTUAL experience in working with an attorney to prepare a case for trial. Trial preparation would include familiarity with witness organization and scheduling, subpoenas, jury instructions, motions in limine, Rule 213 F123 discovery, excellent writing skills and pleadings.
