Part-time Legal Assistant / Paralegal The candidate will manage attorney calendars - track deadlines and provide timely reminders. Handling phones (intake of client calls and potential clients). Managing case files (setting up, updating, closing out, etc.). Communicating with clients. Draft correspondence and basic pleadings. Uploading/scanning/organizing documents into the cloud. Court filings (e-fling and paper) in state and federal court. Service of process and subpoenas. Propounding and answering interrogatories and requests for documents. Creating, maintaining, and updating databases with witness information and document productions. Reviewing, organizing, and, indexing documents produced. Reviewing and assembling documents to be used at depositions, mediations, and trial. Reviewing correspondence, briefs, and organizing appropriate exhibits. Arrange depositions, coordinate schedules, prepare notices, schedule court reporter. Working with clients in collecting and organizing case information. Other duties as assigned. Should have 3+ years experience as legal assistant or paralegal in civil litigation. Larger firm experience preferred. Will consider other experience in civil litigation. Approximately 25 to 31 hours per week.
