Criminal Law Paralegal Duteis: Answer and route incoming telephone calls. Liaison between attorney and clients and courts, state agencies and other parties, Review, screen and distribute incoming mail. Prepare/revise case-related pleadings and correspondence. Proofread documents, prepare exhibits, court documents, subpoenas, witness fees, and ensure timely handling/filing. Coordinate and schedule case preparation for meetings, hearing dates and conference calls with clients, court personnel, opposing parties, and witnesses. Maintain all calendars. Various office and client filing, including paper and electronic filing.
Qualifications: 2+ years' experience as a Criminal Defense Paralegal. Candidate must have exceptional organizational and verbal skills, knowledge of court rules and e-filing systems, and calendaring. Must be a motivated self-starter who is proficient and familiar with criminal defense practice. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced setting with diverse clientele. Attention to detail is key. Maintain client confidentiality. Must be able to effectively multi-task.
