Trademark Paralegal Responsibilities: Manage day to day activities pertaining to international and domestic trademark portfolio, including working with international counsel to oversee filing of international trademark applications and other documents, as well as collecting and overseeing documentation from clients related to same. Manage docket and track progress for various trademark matters including office actions, infringement opinions and various other projects assigned by attorneys. Conduct preliminary trademark clearance searches online. Request and conduct preliminary analysis on commercial trademark search reports. Review trademark watch reports for potential infringers and coordinate with private investigators. Assist with trademark and domain name enforcement program by working with attorneys to investigate and determine appropriate actions. Assist with trademark enforcement by working with attorneys to research and monitor on-line and social media use of infringing marks. Perform trademark due diligence for corporate transactions. Qualifications: A bachelor degree (including paralegal coursework) or an associates degree in paralegal studies. 3+ years relevant experience with trademark prosecution in a law firm or corporate environment. Proficiency on Microsoft Word , strong knowledge of Excel, and some knowledge of CPI docketing-tracking systems. Experience and familiarity with U.S. Patent and Trademark Office procedures and forms. Draft motions, expungement, and assist in trial preparation. Qualifications: Associate's Degree is required. Bachelor s degree is preferred. Must have knowledge and experience in both civil criminal law preferred. Ability to work independently. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel. Paralegal Real Estate The candidate will collaborate on transactions with members of the commercial real estate group, firm clients and other third parties. Analyze corporate authority documents. Draft documents including, but not limited to, organizational documents, amendments, title instruction letters, UCC financing statements, resolutions, closing certificates, and transfer documents. Assist with loan transactions, including maintenance of closing checklists, and preparing and organizing closing documents. Assist with post-closing matters, including filing financing statements, recording real estate documents and review of closing binders. Assist with the preparation and tracking of estoppels and subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements. Some legal research, including review of city, county and state regulations pertaining to real estate transactions. Categorize, index and simplify large amounts of data into succinct, understandable format. The candidate should have a BA/BS degree with Major or minor in paralegal studies; or Paralegal certificate; or Prior business, real estate estate or paralegal experience. Minimum of five(5) years experience in corporate finance, commercial finance and/or real estate, with law firms, corporations, businesses, banks, and/or title companies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong analytical ability. Career-minded individual, with ability to follow process and strong organization skills.
