Law Firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The Litigation Paralegal will provide support before, during and after trials and will be responsible for a variety of tasks including preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, preparing discovery documents, drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents, performing administrative duties, and more. Qualifications To be successful in this role, the Litigation Paralegal must possess the following qualifications: Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred) 2+ years of litigation experience (required) Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred) Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas. (preferred) Must possess the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficient in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices, etc. Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Extensive computer and database expertise; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and type no less than 35 wpm. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of litigation experience and a strong understanding of legal research and court procedures. They will be responsible for providing support before, during and after trials, and will be expected to perform a wide variety of tasks. ### Responsibilities The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for: * Preparing legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda * E-filing all court documents in state and federal court * Conducting legal research and factual investigation * Preparing discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses * Drafting and serving summons * Coordinating and summarizing depositions * Preparing trial binders and exhibits * Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court * Performing administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics) * Maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes * Organizing exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices * Aiding attorney with interrogatories and other discovery requests * Gathering relevant information from a variety of sources * Liaising between trial teams and internal/external third parties * Witness preparation * Assisting with case settlements * Other tasks as requested by the attorney ### Qualifications The successful Litigation Paralegal will possess the following qualifications: * Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred) * 2+ years of litigation experience (required) * Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred) * Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or other injury related practice areas.
