Lead Paralegal & Practice Management Assistant The candidate will coordinate workflow and assign work to ensure equitable workload distribution, coverage, and timely completion of assignments. Oversee projects such as document reviews, productions, and trial preparation. Develop procedures and standards for the team, and prepare written procedures and reference materials. Provide or coordinate training for team members including newly hired paralegals and attorneys. Provide feedback related to paralegal performance, issues, staffing, structure, and hiring. Serve as a point of contact for attorneys in resolving problems. Ensure communication of relevant information to all paralegals. Visit client sites to review or retrieve records and meet with client contacts. Review monthly pre-bills and identify necessary adjustments. Prepare budget projections for new incoming cases. Review, verify, and process invoices. Create and maintain case status lists and reports. Appeal write-downs and adjust billing language to comply with client guidelines. Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or comparable experience is required. Should have 5+ years of experience as a timekeeping litigation paralegal, preferably in a medical-related practice area. Experience as a team or project lead and/or in an administrative-responsible position is preferred.
