Managing Paralegal Duties: Manages and develops the paralegal team. Assigns cases to the paralegals and monitors progress to ensure timely completion. Provides research and training support to the paralegals and department employees utilizing databases and legal libraries. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Trains new employees. Identifies market niches, defends market strengths and develops new marketing plans to address changing trends. Monitors needs and requirements of department clients to respond effectively to changing needs. Manages Department staff and promotes motivation among employees. In collaboration with Human Resources, recruits and hires new members to staff. Takes part in necessary reprimands and dismissal notices with HR Manager consent. Responds to customer complaints and comments and escalated calls. Updates employees on business performance. Organizes and monitors department operations and procedures such as performance evaluations, employee time keeping records/PTO, and monitoring daily work efficiency.
Qualifications: Requires Paralegal certification. Florida Registered Paralegals preferred. 1-3 years supervisory experience is required. 2-3 years of experience handling litigation cases. 1st party plaintiff's litigation preferred. Extensive knowledge of department processes.
