Litigation Paralegal The candidate will perform Document Production and Management. Assist with identification, review, and production of documents in litigation matters. Coordinate production and responses to discovery requests, including paper documents, electronically stored information, Bates-stamping, redaction, duplication, and indexing. Categorize documents by subject matter, prepare a chronology of facts, and track document productions and other discovery requests; liaison with e-discovery vendors including the processing of documents for production. File Management. Establish and organize files chronologically, numerically, and by subject matter. Work with attorneys and staff to organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system. Research. Conduct research as assigned. Develop case databases, perform searches on document database systems, identify relevant material from public and private databases. Deposition Preparation. Prepare documents for attorney review and prepare exhibits for deposition. Organize interview memos, digests, and other relevant documents for attorney review and case preparation. May attend deposition to organize exhibits, assist with exhibits, take notes, and digest transcripts. Motions Practice. Organize relevant documents; prepare basic motions, routine orders, affidavits, correspondence, table of authorities, and similar documents; proofread filings; prepare attachments for filings. Court Filings. Support attorneys in the preparation and filing of all court documents (both in paper form and electronic filing). Organize the briefs, exhibits, and appendices, maintain pleading files, and distribute file and courtesy copies. Trial Preparation. Organize exhibits, files, and all other supporting documents, coordinate trial logistics, assist attorneys at trial with exhibits, marking documents referred to by counsel, and assisting witnesses and clients at trial. The candidate should preferably have a four-year college/university degree; Associate's degree and/or college degree and demonstrated interest in law (e.g., pre-law studies) may substitute for relevant paralegal experience. Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and writing skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to multitask. Must be team-oriented, collegial, and strong work ethic.
