IP Paralegal The candidate will format briefs, pleadings and other legal documents. Coordinate, preparation and filing of briefs and legal documents in federal courts (district court and Federal Circuit) and PTAB. Conduct pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments. Perform administrative duties (calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files, manage logistics etc.). Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Prepare exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices. Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests. Gather relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties. Provide assistance with case settlements. Handle e-filings at the USPTO and WIPO. Communicate and coordinate with foreign counsel filing of patent applications outside of the US. Assist in preparation of declarations, certificates of correction and corrected filing receipts. Coordinate IDS preparation and tracking of references. Review the Notice of Allowance prior to payment of issue fees. Oversee tracking and maintenance of individual attorney dockets. Process client intake and transfer-out projects. Prepare client reporting of incoming correspondence and completed tasks. Prepare status reports and other client-requested reports/tasks. Maintain client correspondence. Assist in the performance of prior art searches and reports related to due diligence and clearance studies. Prior patent litigation experience is required. Must be qualified Paralegal in accordance with California BPC 6450.
