Paralegal Condemnation Responsibilities: Assist with analysis and retrieval of information from courts locally and on a nationwide basis. Performing factual research and searching databases for specific information. Acquire government records from state and federal agencies. Maintain a high level understanding of online research tools and technology. Preparing materials for hearings, interviews, depositions, and trial. Coordinating and managing large document collections and productions. Prepare due diligence background investigative reports and provide thorough documentation of research. Research eminent domain bills filed and monitor progression through the Senate and House. Acquire Courthouse News petitions/complaints on a nationwide basis to facilitate client development. Provide investigation and research to locate individuals domestically and in foreign countries. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a strong academic background required. 10 years of law firm experience. Government/internal investigations experience a plus. Technical skills: MS Office, Relativity, PACER, Westlaw and LexisNexis. Knowledge of rules of civil procedure and familiarity with the local rules of various courts. Knowledge of e-discovery rules and document collection procedures and experience e-filing in various courts.
