Bilingual Spanish Paralegal/ Administrative Assistant Candidate will assist attorneys in working with clients to file immigration petitions and supporting documentation. Will substantial direct client interaction and correspond with U.S. government agencies. Handling incoming calls, calendaring client appointments, and managing the office calendar, including deadlines; Picking up and distributing mail (electronically); Creating files for new cases and maintaining files (case specific and office files). This includes maintaining a hard copy and electronic filing system as well as client lists; Preparation of filing including immigration forms and work with clients to gather supporting documents for final review by attorney; Research and order office supplies by checking stock to determine inventory and anticipate needed supplies; Acting as a liaison between clients and attorney; Drafting correspondence to clients; Assembling and mailing documents to government agencies and/or clients under the supervision of the paralegals and/or attorneys; Order office supplies by checking stock to determine inventory and anticipate needed supplies; Point person for operation of office equipment. Requirements: College Degree preferred or minimum of Associate Degree or Paralegal Certificate; Computer literacy: experience with Word, Adobe, and Excel, and an able to learn new software; Extremely organized and detail-oriented (able to catch mistakes or inconsistencies); Ability to easily interact with strangers; Self-starter and ability to manage and work on projects with minimal supervision, and flexibility in changing priorities or situation; Employment experience preferred. Must be organized, detail-oriented, a self-starter, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
