Human Rights/Human Trafficking Paralegal The candidate will support attorneys in the Human Rights practice group to start in June 2018. Candidates must be well organized, possess excellent writing and analytical skills, and have strong academic credentials. The work involves, among other things, factual and legal research; writing memoranda; document review; organizing and coding documents; managing case files; and performing clerical tasks associated with filing documents in U.S. courts. The position requires: (1) a demonstrated interest in law, human rights, or both; (2) an understanding of, and willingness to learn about, basic legal concepts, terminology, principles, and procedures; (3) excellent communication and writing ability, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills; (4) a proactive nature; (5) attention to detail. Experience with legal research tools, such as Lexis/Nexis or Westlaw is a plus. Foreign language skills are also a plus.
