Real Estate Closing Paralegal Responsibilities: Preparing TRID closing disclosure forms, HUD-1 settlement statements, title insurance forms, deeds, mortgages, and other legal documents for real estate closing transactions. Prepare real estate closing files for document execution by attorneys and clients. Communicating with clients, lenders, Realtors, and service providers in person, by telephone, and by email. Maintain legal files (both paper and electronic); organize and file documents. Print, scan and photocopy legal documents. Manage document deliveries and track final executed documents. Assist with overflow work and other projects as needed. Requirements: Previous experience preparing settlement statements and other real estate closing transaction documents strongly preferred. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including WORD and Outlook as well as document management and other office technologies. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate well in a team. Successful candidates will demonstrate ability to be cross trained in other positions. While performing this job, the employee is occasionally required to move from work station to various other office areas to retrieve documents and assignments. This position may also be sedentary and require the employee to sit for extended periods of time. Requires manual dexterity to dial a telephone, enter data into a computer, handle objects and operate tools. Filing is required; job requires ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. Prior experience as Real Estate Closing Paralegal preferred. Must be proficient with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word and Outlook. Accounting skills and experience are a plus.
