Nurse Paralegal DUTIES: Explaining medical practices to legal professionals. Reviewing medical documents. Identifying and evaluating experts. Drafting documents to be used by attorneys. Projecting medical costs. Reviewing Defendants discovery responses & production in detail. Preparing discovery logs for each litigation file. Preparing Medical Summaries & Chronologies. Drafting letters for the attorney to send to Opposing Counsel regarding Discovery Deficiencies. Drafting Motion to Compel for the attorney & getting a hearing set. Drafting Depositions of Written Questions for Plaintiff s Medical. Drafting DWQs to Insurance Company for any third party medical review and DWQ to known medical audit companies. Drafting DWQs for liability on defendants (Cell phone and driving records, public information requests, medical examiner records, truck driver medical records, etc.). Candidates must be a licensed, registered nurse (RN) and have practiced for 5+ years. A paralegal certification are highly preferred. A CLNC from the AALNCCB will be highly preferred. Must have previously had legal nurse consulting experience over the last 3 years. Must have experience in personal injury law.
