Summary We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in the US-DC-Washington D.C. to provide coordination and operational support to the Privacy and Cybersecurity practice area team. This is a varied and fast-paced role that requires an independent self-starter who serves as an ambassador to our partners, demonstrates sound judgment, and establishes a foundation of loyalty through behaviors that inspire trust. The successful candidate must have: * 5+ years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Proficient in MS Office applications * Polished executive presence with high emotional intelligence (EQ) * Ability to prioritize and problem solve * Expert communication skills * Integrity and discretion Preferred qualifications include a degree from an accredited college or university, Global Law Firm or Capitol Hill experience, and the ability to type 50 WPM. Duties and Responsibilities The Legal Secretary will be responsible for: * Coordination and operational support to the assigned lawyers in the Privacy and Cybersecurity practice area team * Aligning lawyers time with their priorities and leveraging strategic prioritization strategies * Building relationships and trust with key stakeholders and partners * Maximizing efficiency and communication by building out systems and processes * Communicating with and building/maintaining relationships with key high-profile clients * Maintaining Outlook inboxes and responding to incoming communications * Providing complex and dynamic scheduling and calendar support * Facilitating work with the Accounting Department to coordinate client bills * Processing new business forms, new client/matter reports, and conflicts of interest checks * Providing oversight for time entry, proformas, and bills for the assigned lawyers * Monitoring Practice Area Team expenditures for budgeting purposes * Maintaining roster of billing arrangements for key clients * Maintaining monthly financial reports * Coordinating U.S. & Foreign travel arrangements Salary Information The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. 5+ years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in MS Office applications
