Litigation Attorney The candidate will represent personal injury clients from intake though arbitration and trial, and be responsible for a busy caseload, including motor vehicle collision, maritime, Stute cases, and a variety of other types of injury claims. The position also requires work closely with other attorneys as a trial team on catastrophic injury cases through trial and the appellate courts. This requires knowledge of relevant tort law, court rules and procedures, and excellent time management and organizational skills. Duties include: Evaluating cases for merit and value. Managing own caseload and handling cases from start to finish. Taking and defending depositions. Handling mediation, arbitration, and trial independently.Investigating facts and interviewing witnesses. Researching and writing complaints, demand letters, mediation briefs, motions, trial briefs. Researching and working with experts to support liability and damages. Arguing motions and presenting cases independently at arbitration and trial; Occasional travel. Keeping clients updated on case status. Must have at least 2-3 years of civil litigation experience, including trial experience. Should be licensed to practice in WA state in good standing. Excellent writing and research skills are required.
