Plan Document Paralegal The candidate will responsible for preparation of plan documents for 401(k) and profit sharing plans, defined benefit plans, cash balance plans, 403(b) plans, and 457 plans. Responsible for preparation of amendments and resolutions. Understand and manage workload for document execution and annual notice deadlines. Exemplify familiarity with required plan document restatements. Keep current with new regulations and legislation as well as an awareness of proposed regulations and legislation. Provide guidance and research as needed to current and prospective clients regarding permissible plan design and changes within the framework of pre-approved documents. Attain proficiency in report generation using Pension PRO, Fetch, Relius, and other applicable tools. Champion ' values and policies. Perform other related duties as required. 5 or more years of plan document preparation or paralegal experience are required. Bachelor's degree required with minimum GPA of 3.0 are required. Able to interpret provisions of a variety of pre-approved and individually designed plan documents. Capable of restating provisions onto another pre-approved plan document, Experience with FIS/Relius Documents is a plus. Strong research skills and ability to efficiently address compliance and administrative issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, Must be able to clearly and professionally convey complex subject matters with understanding of the target audience. Excellent organizational skills are required. High level of critical thinking are required. Committed to lifelong learning and must enjoy sharing knowledge with staff are required. QKA and/or QPA certification or similar designations a plus.
