This mid size Orlando office maintains a full service civil law practice. The is organized into the following areas: litigation, health law, communications and media, employment and labor, tax, personal planning and employee benefits, securities and public offering, real estate, and business and corporate office. Legal Secretary The candidate will draft and type legal documents and correspondence of legal nature such as summonses, complaints, motions, and subpoenas specific to the practice area of the attorney and\or legal assistant. Make travel arrangements, answer telephones, read and route incoming mail, maintain attorney calendars and contact lists, schedule appointments and manage attorneys calendars, reserve conference rooms, maintain filing, process new business intake and expense forms. Enter and proofread and edit attorneys' time entries in the time capture system (DTE) and on proforma bills. Process new business intake and expense reimbursements in a timely manner. Provide superior client service. Perform other duties as assigned. Should have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 10+ years of litigation experience. Must have experience with eFiling with Texas state and Federal Court Systems. Have solid knowledge and understanding of trial procedures and court rules. Software knowledge must include MS Office suite, Net Docs or other document management systems, and InTapp or other time entry systems. Must have excellent Microsoft Word skills and type a minimum of 70 wpm. Must possess strong organizational and communication skills. Must possess strong attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple projects, and have strong time management skills. Have initiative and willingness to be a team player are important assets for this busy desk. Have proficiency in grammar, proofreading, and transcription. Must have the ability to utilize firm resources to assure that all work is completed in a timely manner. Have the ability to provide a high level of customer service and be able to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Must have great attention to detail.
