Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will be tasked with a variety of duties to support our lead lawyer in all immigration law matters. Such tasks include drafting immigration forms and documents, conducting legal and factual research, and performing a range of administrative tasks. Will also help our lawyers prepare for client meetings, trials, and hearings. Duties: Assist with new Client intake, scheduling, and engagement; Manage the Firm's calendar and adhere to case deadlines; Investigate case facts, and identify relevant materials, legal articles, judicial decisions, and laws; Draft immigration forms and prepare briefs and evidence for filing in court; Learn and use innovative technology for organizing and managing the data and documents collected throughout a case. Maintain financial records, track hours, and bill clients. Must have High school diploma or GED. Should have Legal Assistant diploma or certification. Must have familiarity with laws, legal procedures and protocols. Paralegal Certificate (Preferred).High school or equivalent (Preferred).
