Paralegal - Probate, Estate Planning and Elder Law DUTIES: Assist with Medicaid, Probate, Estate Planning, Guardianship and Special Needs Trust matters. Assist with the drafting of estate planning documents including Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Special Needs Trusts and Last Wills and Testaments. Help complete Medicaid applications, probate and guardianship pleadings and other probate matters. QUALIFICATIONS: Should preferably have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have 5+ years of experience in wills, trusts, and estate law and 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal. Should preferably have 5+ years of Medicaid experience. An understanding of court rules and filing requirements is mandatory. Must be detailed and highly motivated. The successful candidate will work with elderly clients, families, and clients with disabilities. Must understand the importance of a client-first attitude and have a positive outlook on working hard and acting in a supportive position to the attorney. Must have leadership skills (identify problems and work towards a solution); have the ability to problem-solve, and take initiative in helping clients.
