Legal Assistant/Paralegal Duties: Answer phones, field emails and mail, conduct preliminary client intake, communicate with attorneys, clients, and court personnel, manage calendaring for a team of attorneys and staff, organize and manage files for attorneys. Handle Paralegal tasks and help support with all phases of litigation, including initial client intake, document and exhibit management, drafting pleadings, motions and discovery, court filings, and calendar management. This paralegal must be comfortable with frequent client interaction, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have excellent time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple deadlines and projects for the attorneys on the team.
Qualifications: Previous law firm experience. Exceptional organization skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of legal terminology and principles. Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Outlook. Excellent writing and communication skills. Teamwork oriented. Ability to analyze legal documents and ensure accuracy. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with limited guidance.
