This firm is often at the top of the list of prominent Boston law firms. Large and growing, these lawyers are well-connected throughout the Boston area, and are looking to increase the reach of their influence. With beautiful offices (that seem to go on and on...) the lawyers here are generally quite happy with their practice. Why? At the associate level, lawyers are given a bit more responsibility than your average law firm lawyer, and depending on the practice group, given quite solid training and structured mentoring. Although the partners are increasingly conscious of the billable hours of their associates, they are generally accessible. In particular, several of the litigation partners bring in high level litigation work and remain very involved throughout to monitor and guide the associates participation.
Litigation Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys during all stages of complex litigation matters. Will help organize and manage discovery materials. Assist with fact checking and cite-checking motions and briefs, and will work with attorneys to analyze case materials and synthesize relevant information into memoranda, charts and timelines. Responsible for coordinating internal resources and external vendors to ensure the needs of case teams are met during all phases of litigation. A Bachelor s degree and 5+ years of experience working on complex litigation matters are required. Must have trial experience. Experience with Intellectual Property litigation is preferred, as is experience with cite-checking and the Bluebook. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, be capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. Must be familiar with Case Notebook and Relativity. Must meet California Standards for qualifying as a paralegal. Must have a strong knowledge of case strategy, facts and document.
