Legal Secretary The candidate will manage team calendar and coordinate team members schedules. Process, file and distribute mail. Answer telephone calls and requests from clients. Final assembly and preparation of estate planning documents, e.g. healthcare directives, deeds, preliminary change of ownership reports, LLC-1s, statements of information and other corporate form documents. Attend client meetings to notarize documents. After estate planning documents are signed, prepare closing letters, indexes and binders. Maintain and update same for long-term clients. Filing and recording deeds and corporate documents, and file pleadings with the Probate Court. Various other administrative tasks in support of office and colleagues (check deposits, supplies, copier lease, etc.). Prior estate planning or paralegal experience is preferred, the most important qualifications for a candidate are a good attitude and the ability to learn new processes, applications and routines.
